Over 450 Years of Viticulture: From Italy to Argentina

The roots of our family, entwined with grapevines, stretch back to 1558. At Magia De Uco, our wines are a homage to the perseverance and passion of our forebears.

A Legacy Across Generations and Continents

The Tucci-Budetta lineage represents a viticultural tradition that has endured 20 generations, blossoming from 16th-century Italy's Bellosguardo, Salerno, to present-day Uco Valley, Mendoza. Our family records trace our grape-growing origins to Da Linecta and Stefano De Tuccio, whose dreams set the foundation for our living legacy.

Through trials and triumphs, our ancestors revered and learned from nature, cultivating not just grapes but a deep respect for the land. Each generation honed the art of grape-growing, a tradition we proudly continue, ensuring our wines are a fitting tribute to our family's history.

From Bellosguardo to Mendoza

In Bellosguardo, our name, once De Tuccio, evolved to Tucci in 1795 due to a clerical error. From this lineage, Francesca Tucci and Giovanni Budetta, post-World War II immigrants, united in Argentina through an arranged marriage. The Budetta-Tucci family's Argentine chapter began in 1957, sowing the seeds for Magia De Uco - Los Chacayes - Valle de Uco, Mendoza.

Our parents and grandparents instilled in us the values of diligence and dedication. Today, Alberto Budetta, Francesca and Giovanni's son, carries on the family's commitment, having been involved since childhood.

A Distinctive Approach to Winemaking

Twenty years ago, Alberto and Graciela Casalnuovo initiated the Magia de Uco project. Their vision was clear: integrating centuries-old traditions with modern techniques, prioritizing sustainability and environmental stewardship to craft wines of unmatched quality.

Our adherence to stringent international standards is unwavering, as evidenced by continuous BPA and BPM certifications since our inaugural harvest. We've also been recognized with the CampoLimpio seal and the ArgenINTA award for agri-food quality, among other accolades.

Committed to regenerative viticulture, we've embraced practices to rejuvenate our soils, foster biodiversity, and address climate change, solidifying our place in the Regenerative Viticulture Association.

Carrying the Torch Into the Future

The new generationGianfranco, Luciana, and Chiara Budettacontinues their ancestors' legacy with an eye toward the future. Their goal is unchanging: to elevate Magia De Uco wines to global acclaim as the epitome of Argentine winemaking excellence.
